The Dance World Cup will take place from 3-12 July 2025 in Burgos, Spain and is open to dancers from any country who are under 25 years of age. This year the representatives from England include a group of 19 girls and 1 boy from the Swindon Academy of Dance. Of course, attending such an event requires substantial amounts to cover the costs of travel, accommodation outfits etc and the school has reached out for sponsorship from local organisations and companies. Swindon Lions have the support of local young people as one of its main aims and readily agreed to donate to this cause. Very recently the Academy put on a show by the students who will be performing in Burgos and parents, friends and sponsors were able to appreciate the talents and sheer enthusiasm of these young people.

At the end of the performance the President of Swindon Lions Pete Kennewell, was able to meet three of the dancers to exchange best wishes for the competition.
